The leadership

Theo Krueger
Chairman and CEO

A seasoned entrepreneur with African roots and a proven track record in building companies in the agricultural space. Founded his first company in 2008 and KruSwiss in 2018.

Experience across multiple industries across 12 countries with deep knowledge of finance, logistics and operations, including growing over 10,000 Ha of energy crops for biogas plants throughout Southeast Asia.

Theo has previously been active in the Oil and Gas industry, involved in structuring general and limited partnerships, joint ventures, and public offerings with companies including NGas, XTO energy, Range Resources (T. Boone Pickens), and Chesapeake Energy, involving energy financing more than $200 million. Theodore holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas and previously held his series 7, 63, and 22 financial advisor licenses.

Victor Mathys
SVP - Chief Product & Marketing Officer

Victor is an entrepreneur with over 15+ years of experience in the development and management of companies in various sectors across Europe.  Former co-founder and CEO of Blossom Swiss and led two successful exits: an acquisition by EMMAC Life Sciences Group in 2019 and EMMAC to CURALEAF in 2020. Grew company from 8 to 250 employees.

Victor is well-versed in the fields of business development, strategic alliances, product development, and growth management. He has a Corporate Economist Diploma along with a Bachelor of Sciences in Hospitality Management with a Major in Finance from Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, in Switzerland.

Mauro Gonzalez
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

An Agricultural Production Engineer with 25 years of global experience in the agriculture and tobacco sector.  Built a successful career at Philip Morris International where he was a key member of the Global Leaf Management Team.  Led the Leaf Sustainable Agriculture Organization where he developed strategies and executed operational plans across the entire PMI tobacco supply chain footprint to maximize farm productivity and ensure a sustainable production within the tobacco-growing communities.

Mauro graduated from Pontificia Unversidad Argentina with a degree in Agricultural Engineering.

Jay Campbell
Global Chief Financial Officer

Jay is a hands-on Chief Financial Officer with over 30 years’ experience leading all aspects of the finance function.  He has expertise in business development, acquisitions/joint ventures, driving company performance, and senior finance leadership across various industries, including software, supply chain, financial services, strategic sourcing, and creative production/marketing services. 

Jay previously was the CFO of DHL Supply Chain, North Asia for over 7 years.

Jay graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is a graduate of the Naganuma School for the Japanese Language, Tokyo, Japan and is business proficient in Japanese.

Costa Kotsiopoulos
chief DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Over 15 years’ experience in managing a full spectrum of business development and sales operations. Involved in Swiss and African hemp biomass operations since 2018 with a tremendous amount of regional knowledge, developing key partnerships in the US, Africa, and Europe.

He has a proven track record in helping organizations meet and exceed their targeted goals/objectives by providing business development leadership and support in sales operations. He is spear-heading the “CBD – Heal the World Project” which is pioneering and developing the emerging new CBD market in Africa

 

Andrew Switaj
chief risk officer

Andrew is an experienced risk professional who brings over 20 years of advisory experience, with senior roles in government agencies and companies like Chevron. He acted as US Special Operation Command’s senior consultant for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s genomic and proteomic sequencing center and as a strategic advisor to the Commanding General of NATO Special Operations Headquarters in Mons, Belgium.


Prior to relocating to Singapore in 2019, Andrew was with Chevron’s IndoAsia Business Unit based in Jakarta as Head of Risk Management. There he oversaw a business unit spanning from Sumatra to the Philippines. He was involved in major capital projects along with the divestment of Chevron’s geothermal assets.


Andrew holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida.

Nicolas Denis
Sustainable Business Transformation

Nicolas spent 30 years with Philip Morris International, reaching the highest positions. Nicolas is a collaborative leader with deep expertise in the agribusiness sector, he consults with start-ups, VCs and larger corporations on issues related to transformation, sustainability, and innovation in agribusiness.

His experience spans multiple, functional disciplines from procurement to regulatory, external affairs and sustainability strategy development and implementation.

Nicolas advises KruSwiss particularly around the development of a sustainable agricultural footprint and global supply chains.

Livio Vanghetti
Vice President Global Partnership at Philip Morris

Livio is a driven and passionate professional, a people person, with 9 years of experience in journalism, 7 years of leading businesses with P&L accountabilities in the EU and Middle East, and 15 years of experience in leading the corporate affairs for Philip Morris International in Europe and at a global level.

Livio advises KruSwiss on business opportunities and building competitive advantages via networks, partnerships, and managing regulatory and societal bodies.
